Roads2Joya is a South London furniture fabrication and upholstery studio established in 2011. We collaborate with interior designers, architects, furniture designers, and private clients to develop, prototype, and realise bespoke upholstered furniture and soft furnishings for residential and commercial interiors.

Founded by AMUSF-trained upholsterer Ayesha Sowani, with fellow AMUSF upholsterer Stephanie Kinmond joining the studio in 2019, Roads2Joya brings together decades of combined experience in upholstery, furniture fabrication, and design development.

We believe exceptional furniture should never compromise on comfort. Every commission is approached with careful consideration of ergonomics, construction, materials, and upholstery, ensuring each piece performs as beautifully as it looks.

Our work bridges the gap between design intent and manufacture. Whether working from a concept sketch, technical drawing, or developed CAD model, we carefully select the most appropriate upholstery and fabrication techniques for each commission. Drawing on traditional methods, contemporary construction, or a considered combination of both, we create furniture that responds to the design, intended use, comfort requirements, and longevity of every piece.

Alongside bespoke fabrication, Roads2Joya is recognised for specialist shearling upholstery and the sensitive restoration and reupholstery of exceptional furniture, applying the same thoughtful approach to both contemporary commissions and heritage pieces.
